Qianshan Park is located on. Yangmingshan bordering Mt. Shamao in the east and next to the Yangmingshan Bus Terminus and Taipei City Teachers’ In-Service Education Center. As an important sightseeing spot in Taipei suburbs, the park occupies an area of about 38,328m2. Qianshan Park features wonderful landscape. In addition to Mt. Shamao and Mt. Qixing in sight, the Japanese colonial government already guided the mountain stream under Mt. Qixing in the west of Yangmingshan Chungshan Hall to run across the park to form Yangming Pond over whose surface the beautiful scenery of Mt. Qixing reflects. By the pond, there are free public spas for men and women which are the public’s favorite. Overall, the park is a perfect attraction for all seasons: watching cherry blossoms in spring, summer resort, autumn reunion, and watching maple in winter.
Qianshan Park I-Rock Flow Garden sits next to the Taipei City Teachers’ In-Service Education Center. Features in the garden include the Heart Shaped Pool, tree-shaded Moon Shield Lake leisure area, foot bath pond, several spring waterways and white sulfur spring waterway, and Yangming Volcano rocks. The rock landscape by the stream was built under the onsite supervision of Japanese national-treasure-grade gardening master Motomi Oguchi to contrast with the existing rock texture for visitors to appreciate the wonders of landscapes.
Qianshan Park II. It is located next to Rock Flow Garden across the road. The stream running across Shamao Bridge forms the Yangming Lake in the area. In addition to the free public spas for men and women, there are spring foot baths for visitors to take a foot bath while enjoying the reflection of Mt. Shamao in the Lake and watching water lilies blooming in winter. Andesite seats with stone garden lamps are equipped by the Lake along Shamao Road for citizens to appreciate the Formosa Island in the Lake and the magnificent shape of Mt. Qixing. Around Yangming Lake are natural lake scenes where grass and stones gently stretch into the water. The newly grown green maples (Acer serrulatum) and cherry blossoms along the pond look more natural and graceful. Yangming Pond carries a rarely seen dreamy water-blue lakeview which echoes with the nearby mountain views like a symphony.
Qianshan Park III is located inside Lane 38, Section 1, Yangming Road. When cherry blossoms and azaleas bloom in the park, the area is like an arcadia away from the city.
Qianshan Park IV is planned in the concept of the knoll-shaped volcano of Mt. Shamao. Besides creasing a landscape corresponding to the look of Mt. Shamao with wisteria that grows well on Mt. Yangmingshan, a green knoll is designed as the new entrance image of Mt. Yangmingshan. During wisteria’s flowering season, visitors can always immerse with the violet romance.
